2019 RMLUI Conference: Western Places/Western Spaces

RMLUI's 28th Annual Land Use Conference:
Western Places / Western Spaces: Designing for the Future.

March 7 & 8, 2018
University of Denver

For the 2018 Western Places/Western Spaces land use conference, the theme is disruption and how we can plan for an uncertain future full of unknown changes to business practices, new technologies, and disasters. It is a daunting to challenge to plan for the unknown, and yet, as land use planners and practitioners, that’s exactly what we do every day. This year’s program will look at disruptive influences in housing, transportation, natural resources management, and urban planning, as well as how communities across the West are meeting this challenge.

Introduction to Affordable Housing

In addition to the conference, we are also offering an optional workshop on Wednesday, March 6. An Introduction to Affordable Housing is a day-long workshop that will cover the issues communities face with regard to affordable housing, as well as practical solutions for overcoming these challenges. Designed to provide both lawyers and planners a solid foundation on these issues.

We have an amazing program lined up this year. You can find more information about the conference, including the program and information on planning your trip on the Western Places / Western Spaces event website .
