COMPETITION OVERVIEW
All registered entries are required to attend all scheduled events. During the LEGO Town Hall Meeting entries pay their entry fee, review detailed instructions and discuss community planning with city officials, building professionals and other teams.

Youth explore community planning and development through collaboration and art. The competition rubric challenges participants to reflect on what makes a great community as they complete a virtual build to scale in a time frame of 4 weeks. Their builds are then brought together and collaboratively assembled into a community after which judging begins.

Judging is based on collaboration, creativity, concept of a community block and a narrative description of each individual’s entry to the specific contributions that promotes a healthy environment, a healthy economy and a socially just community. Particular emphasis is placed on the display of cooperation with one another. First, second & third place winners receive cash prizes and all contestantsreceive certificates of participation.

Building events such as these help youth analyze what matters most, find their voice and think twice about how actions today provide ideas that change community for a better future.

Entry Fee:
$10 per Team Member, all supplies provided
A team representative must be present at all events to qualify to win.
