CODING FOR RESILIENCE: LEARNING FROM THE VERNACULAR

A variety of approaches to form-based code will be introduced followed by a discussion of the way certain vernacular settings respond to climatic conditions in hot-arid and hot-humid climates.

Simple coding tools along with exemplary lot types will be introduced and recommended for adoption by zoning codes that address communities in these climate zones.
