National Regional Transportation Conference-Denver

National Regional Transportation Conference
June 28-30, 2017
Grand Hyatt
Denver, CO

The National Regional Transportation Conference (June 28 - 30, 2017 in Denver) is the premier training event for rural and small metro transportation planning regions. The early bird registration deadline and hotel room block deadlines are May 26!

This year's conference agenda (PDF) emphasizes noteworthy practices from regional transportation planning organizations and partners, timely plenary presentations, and in-depth workshops on transportation and economic development, engagement methods, regional resilience, and more. Special mobile workshops will take attendees to Golden and Longmont, Colorado to extend the learning in nearby communities. A networking reception will honor this year's Excellence in Regional Transportation Award winners.

We are pleased that the Federal Highway Administration is sponsoring a special peer exchange event on June 30! This peer exchange will group attendees by multi-state region to discuss issues related to rural and small metro transportation challenges and opportunities, planning practice, and participant experiences at no extra cost! This will occur through a cooperative agreement with the NADO Research Foundation.

We'll close the conference with a must-attend panel of federal agency representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation and Economic Development Administration, who will share information and resources tailored to the audience.

Our agenda is designed in response to feedback from planning practitioners like YOU, as well as research efforts over the last year that were a collaborative effort between the NADO Research Foundation and state and regional agency professionals.
