Re:Denver Accessory What?

Tuesday, July 17th
7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
1.25 AICP CMs Pending
Location: Curtis Park, Denver

This July’s re:Denver explores Additional Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Curtis Park. Curtis Park was a neighborhood that historically had many carriage houses, and due to recent changes in the zoning code is seeing a resurgence of interest in ADU construction. The forum will begin with an explanation of what ADUs are and how they are beneficial to home owners and communities. Then we will visit three ADUs within walking distance of one another, including a historic structure, a newly constructed ADU, and a project currently under construction to get a sense for the varieties among these types of units.

Learning Objectives:

1. What an Accessory Dwelling Unit is, both historically and today
2. How Accessory Dwelling Units can provide additional density, revenue, and aging options for homeowners
3. What the interior spaces created with ADUs look like
4. Reactions from home owners and neighbors about ADUs

I tried to register for this event and could not figure out how? My co-worker and husband have had the same problem. I am not sure if you need to know how many people are attending? Also, where are we meeting at 7 p.m.?

Thanks for your help!
