WEBINAR: The Curbside in the Modern Multimodal City, Where Literally Everything Comes Together

June 28 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM MST
1.5 CMs Approved
Hosted by: APA Transportation Planning Division

The transportation landscape in our cities is changing rapidly, and nowhere is that felt with greater immediacy than in the curbside zone. It’s literally where every urban transportation issue in the city intersects, from transit efficiency to freight delivery to ADA accessibility, micro-mobility and ridesharing. In 2019, cities are focusing greater resources and energy on developing plans for this vital interface than ever before. Join us on June 28 to dive further into the topic with our varied panel of experts. DeAngelo Baynes, Curbside Manager for the District Department of Transportation (Washington, DC) will outline the evolution of curbside management in our nation’s capital. Steve Davis of Fehr & Peers, co-author of the recent ITE Curbside Management Practitioner’s Guide, will give an overview of that document and the new approaches and tools being used for the evaluation of curb space. Chrissy Mancini Nichols of Walker Consultants will address the integration of TNCs and AVs into the curbside space.
