Researching Programs
If you are interested in a program outside of Colorado, see the American Collegiate Schools of Planning’s the Guide to Undergraduate and Graduate Education in Urban and Regional Planning. The website, Planetizen also offers a Guide to Graduate Urban Planning Programs for about $25. Note: the Planetizen school rankings are based on surveys completed by participating institutions. Some rankings may be skewed by the non-response rate and other issues related to self-reporting.

As with all research, you should consult several resources about each program to make an informed decision when selecting a planning school and planning courses. The national APA provides a list of 10 things to consider when choosing a school.

Scholarships
Scholarships, assistantships and other work-study programs are often offered by the college. There are also national scholarships available for planning. See the APA website for more scholarship information and ask the schools about their financial assistance programs.
