Anita Seitz

Public Official Representative

Anita Seitz has served on Westminster City Council since December 2013. Anita has an undergraduate degree in Earth Science from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master’s in Business Administration from Regis University.   Anita was awarded a Certificate of Completion from the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government as a Gates family fellow (June 2016).   Anita is a graduate of the Land Use Leadership Alliance training program.She is the Westminster City Council Liaison to the city’s Environmental Advisory Board, Parks Recreation Libraries and Open Space Board, and the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation.  She is the past liaison to the Planning Commission and past alternate for the Denver Regional Council of Governments.  She recently served as Westminster’s representative on the Colorado Municipal League’s Policy Committee.  Anita is the current President of Colorado Communities for Climate Action. She was an initial signer ofthe Compact of Colorado communities and currently serves on the steering committee.Anita believes in the power of planning to help further her city’s strategic plan goals ofinclusivity, sustainability, equity, and local resilience.
