Emerging Planning Professionals Committee

Emerging Planning Professionals

Welcome to the Emerging Planning Professionals Committee of the American Planning Association-Colorado Chapter. This Committee strives to be a resource for entry to mid level planners. Our goals are to connect emerging planners to each other and more experienced planners, provide professional development opportunities, encourage outreach and service in community and showcase the awesomeness of Colorado’s emerging planners!

Learn more about how we are reaching our four goals:

EPP: Smart Cities & Open Data

Join EPP and our guest panel on Monday, March 19 to discuss new technology and open data and how it's impacting planning efforts in the region. Panelists will speak about projects or partnerships that they've developed or implemented at the local level to assist with planning initiatives. After presentations, we will open the floor for questions and discussions about utilizing data and technology.

EPP: Donation Drive + Development Tour

Join EPP on Tuesday, January 27 for a donation drive for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and development tour. Collect items throughout February, then join us for a tour of their Renaissance at North Colorado Station mixed income development in the Clayton neighborhood at Colorado and 40th. The tour will end with a Q&A session with Colorado Coalition for the Homeless staff about housing efforts in Denver, and the evening will conclude with the packing of donated items. Please bring the items with you to the event and feel free to reach out to friends and coworkers to extend our reach!
