The Strategic Plan (“Plan”) of the Colorado Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA CO) includes goals and implementation strategies to guide and direct the Chapter toward fulfillment of the organizational vision and mission.
The Plan is prepared by the President-Elect, in conjunction with the APA CO Board, to provide the framework priorities and initiatives defined by the incoming President. The Plan is adopted by the Board and takes effect for a two-year period beginning July 1 of even-numbered years.
The Plan includes Essential Goals, Next Level “Above and Beyond” Goals, and Supportive Goals. Consistent with the APA CO Bylaws, goals pertaining to professional development and continuing education, legislative action, membership, communication, and other areas of concern are addressed. Periodically, the APA CO Board reviews the status of the approved goals to ensure that progress toward attainment is made. The Board may also include a Work Plan in accordance with the adopted Strategic Plan.
