Volunteer Database

In an ongoing effort to elevate the planning profession, the Colorado Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA Colorado) has launched a program to maintain a list of volunteer planning professionals. The list will be maintained by the Chapter, and overseen by the Outreach & Communication Committee. The goal is to assemble a diverse list of planning professionals throughout the state that can be utilized for various events throughout the year.

Volunteers may be asked to assist an allied professional group, such as Downtown Colorado Inc. (DCI), in a downtown revitalization assessment or Women in Transportation (WTS) in completing traffic counts for an underserved neighborhood. Other events might include a Tactical Urbanism event hosted by the Chapter's Emerging Planning Professionals (EPP) or a trail repair event identified by a local community. Whatever the need, we hope to have the skills and passion to assist those who seek our assistance.

By pairing expert planning professionals with various skill sets from throughout the State with residents and other stakeholders from communities, as well as our allied professional partners, we feel the value of planning as perceived by others can be elevated. APA Colorado seeks to foster community education, engagement and empowerment by volunteering in our communities.
