2022 Chapter Bylaws Update

The Chapter voted to adopt new Chapter Bylaws in 2019. Since that time, the Board had made note of items that need clarification/modification and are now seeking Chapter approval of the udpated, revised document. Below are summaries of items that have been added and/or updated for your consideration. The Chapter Bylaws will be included in the upcoming 2022 Election ballot that will be emailed to you on July 19, 2022. If adopted, the Bylaws would take affect January 2023.

  • Executive Committee: The Board has added an Executive Committee that is comprised of members of the Chapter Board. This Committee will meet monthly to oversee Chapter Business, leaving other meetings open for the full board to discuss items more in depth. Over the past two years there have been several meetings lacking a quorum and this new structure will allow Chapter business to move forward without delay.
  • Area Representatives: Over the years there has been discusssion about renaming the Areas, redefining the Area Boundaries or changing the name from Area Representative to Section. The modified language would allow these changes to be made by the Board with input from the Chapter without requiring a full Chapter vote.
  • Committee Representative: These Board postisions are now optional for each Committee and automatically assigned to the Committee Chair with the ability for the Committee to reassign to a person of their choosing.
