Tells us a little about yourself professionally.
As one of two planners in a small town in Western Colorado, I have to specialize in a little bit of everything! This includes long range planning, current planning, Historic Preservation, Affordable Housing, and whatever topic of the day pops up on the radar.
Tell us how you got into planning.
I didn’t start off planning to be a Planner. I gravitated to it because I liked working with people. As time went on, I found satisfaction in trying to turn people’s great ideas and grand plans into reality.
Tell us a little about yourself outside of planning.
My husband and I moved to Carbondale in 1986 to enjoy the beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley. While over the years we have looked at other places to possibly move to, we have never quite found any place like this valley.
Who is your planning hero or role model?

What makes planning special/interesting/difficult/fun in Colorado?
I think what makes planning fun in Colorado is that people love their communities so they get involved. There are a lot of shared values which makes this State special.
