RMLUI Ideas Round Up: Public Spaces

10:00 A.M. - 11:30 P.M. MST

The Ideas RoundUP series is still going strong. After covering civic engagement, zoning, housing, and transportation, we're moving into a new spacepublic spaces.

Please join us on Tuesday, September 22 to participate in this discussion.

Public spaces are important for promoting physical activity, mental well-being, and creating a sense of community. However, while parks and other public spaces are meant to be open to all, not all feel welcome. This session will explore the racial and social constructs that influence how these spaces are used.

If you've missed any of our past discussions, you can catch up by watching the videos we've posted on the Ideas RoundUP website. You can also join the conversation in our LinkedIn group.

The RMLUI Ideas RoundUP is an effort to explore our shared land use agenda with the entire RMLUI community―land development professionals, community leaders, academic partners, and students―in thoughtful dialogue about the problems we’re facing and how we improve our land use system to better address the inequities in our society.

Mark your calendars now for September 22nd and check our website for future dates and topics. We want to hear from you. To join the conversation, please RSVP so that we can send you the Zoom meeting information.

We hope you’ll join us in reflection and dialogue.

Susan & Lisa
