Goal:
To have a planning profession that is representative of the population it serves.
Objectives:

To participate in the Colorado Planning Conference each year to influence leadership and leadership development

To understand hiring practices and pay equity, opportunity and promotion.

To influence the training of the next generation of planners, from elementary school to college.

To understand the statistics of the profession (gender distribution, ethnic and racial distribution, pay scale and title level, satisfaction within the profession and mentorship).
Meetings:
The EDI Committee typically meets bi-monthly via conference or video conference. The next meeting is scheduled for August 2020.

2021 Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Survey
For those interested in the results of the APA Colorado EDI survey, the Committee has offered the three documents below. The information was discussed in detail during the 2022 Colorado Planning Conference and video of those presentations will be posted on the CHapter's YouTube channel when available. Check back often for updates and our plans to utilize the survey information to implement changes!
