The City of Manitou Springs experienced severe flooding in 2013, and is at high risk for other natural hazards. The City undertook a comprehensive plan that included a hazard risk assessment and mitigation strategy. Plan Manitou addresses community development needs while incorporating goals, policies and actions to reduce and mitigate hazard risk.
